The Riverside Live! 2012-2013 Concert Series at the Mayo Civic Center kicks off in September with blues great KEB MO on Friday, September 7 at 7:30 PM in the Mayo Civic Center - Presentation Hall. Sponsored by Fairway Outdoor Advertising and KXLT Fox 47 with accommodations provided by the Kahler Grand Hotel, the official hotel of Riverside Live!
Tickets for Keb Mo and the entire Riverside Live! 2012-2013 concert series are on sale now to Riverside Concerts members only. Membership costs $10/year and includes a 10% discount on concert tickets, preferred seating and the ability to order your tickets over the phone direct from Riverside Concerts, with no handling fees. Memberships must be purchased through Riverside Concerts in City Hall. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, August 20 at 9 AM at Riverside Concerts in City Hall, and all Ticketmaster outlets, and at 10 AM at the Mayo Civic Center.
Other highlights of the series include; former Byrds front-man and folk enthusiast ROGER MCGUINN; an evening of classical guitar music from America's reigning guitar ensemble THE LOS ANGELES GUITAR QUARTET, a bluegrass show from upstarts THE GRASCALS, a blast from the past with a Hank Williams tribute called HANK & MY HONKY TONK HEROES; and a season finale from Americana pioneers THE DAVID MAYFIELD PARADE. The series will shed some light on the music of other cultures with the Celtic ensemble ALTAN, and a Mardi Gras Dance Party featuring Cajun/Creole/Zydeco specialists CEDRIC WATSON & BIJOU CREOLE. A concert by CHUCK BLATTNER and the ROCHESTER CONCERT BAND & CHOIR will spotlight some of Rochester's own noteworthy talent in December, with the annual holiday celebration YULE FEST featuring special guest ensemble THE ROCHESTER MALE CHORUS.
All Riverside Live! concerts are at 7:30 PM at the Mayo Civic Center. Adult tickets range from $16.50 to $31, depending on the concert, with discounts for senior citizens, youth and Riverside Concerts members.
