Calling all local bands! Riverside Concerts looking for opening acts for the 2010 Down by the Riverside Free Summer Concert Series.

ROCHESTER, MN - Press kits are now being accepted for Opening Acts for this summer's Down by the Riverside outdoor concert series. Bands of any musical genre will be considered including rock, country, blues, jazz, hip-hop, R&B, Latino, celtic and bluegrass. Press kits should contain a CD with at least 3 cuts, a photo of the band, a bio, and a song list. Other information is welcome.

Local bands should be based in the Rochester area, or have at least one member that lives within the 11 county region around SE MN (Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha and Winona).

Down by the Riverside is a free summer concert series that takes place in Mayo Park on Sunday nights in July and August and one that has in recent years reached from 3,000 to 20,000 patrons per concert. The series has presented such popular acts as Herman's Hermits featuring Peter Noone, the Dixie Chicks, Jonny Lang, the Grass Roots, 38 Special, Eddie Money, the Little River Band, Josh Turner, Starship, Loverboy, Blue Oyster Cult, Tommy James & the Shondells and Kansas, just to name a few.
