ROCHESTER, MN - Riverside Concerts invites all members of the media and the general public to a free Down by the Riverside Announcement Party/Press Conference on Wednesday, June 11^th at 7 PM in Mayo Park. Brought to you by Think Mutual Bank and the City of Rochester with accommodations provided by the Kahler Grand Hotel.

The evening will begin with a performance from local favorites Rockology, followed by the announcement of the schedule for  Think Mutual Bank 's presentation of the 2008 Down by the Riverside Free Summer Concert Series, concluding with a special live performance from British Invasion legend, Eric Burdon and the Animals with original guitarist Hilton Valentine.

Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame inductee Eric Burdon has gone from leading one of the most important bands of the ‘60s British Invasion (The Animals), to pioneering the San Francisco psychedelic rock scene, to fronting the biggest funk band of the 1970's (WAR). In the process he has scored 25 Top 40 hits including classics like "House of the Rising Sun", "It's My Life", "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood", "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place", “Don’t Bring Me Down”, “See See Rider”, “San Franciscan Nights”, “Monterey”, “Sky Pilot” and "Spill The Wine".
